Burien Arts’ Fifth Annual Highline Classic Jazz Festival was Saturday March 9th from 2:30 pm-10pm and offered a Big Program at its new location, The Landmark Event Center in Des Moines.
There was more music with fifteen bands participating in three music venues, and more styles of music including Straight Ahead Jazz classics, early and mid -20th century jazz styles, from Dixieland, Gypsy Jazz, Blues, Ragtime to Big Band Swing.
Sing and Sketch
Burien Arts’ Sing & Sketch is a monthly program that is intended to provide a FREE ongoing, drop-in opportunity for visual artists and musicians to interact and enjoy making art and music together in an informal setting. Musicians trade songs and riffs while artists capture the moments on paper. Writers are welcome to share their words as well.
