Gallery & Exhibits: artists united
Artists United is an organization of fine art artists who reside mostly in South King County. Artists United, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1949 and in 2009 has 109 members.
The purpose of Artists United is: 1) further community interest in art, and 2) to encourage members toward individual artistic development.
Artists United members are from all walks of life. Amongst the group are engineers, educators, homemakers, business and medical professionals, graphics, interior and art designers and others. As artists they are professionals, semi-professionals and students of art. Among the artists, there are many award winners some of whom, who have achieved regional and national acclaim.
Artists United exhibits in several venues throughout the area. Meetings are held September through June. The meeting consists of a sack lunch social meeting followed by a business meeting and an art demonstration. Visitors are welcome. For those wishing to become a member, annual dues of $30 and contact information are requested. The membership chairperson will provide organization by-laws and standing rules and information about membership.
