Burien Arts’ Fifth Annual Highline Classic Jazz Festival was Saturday March 9th from 2:30 pm-10pm and offered a Big Program at its new location, The Landmark Event Center in Des Moines.
There was more music with fifteen bands participating in three music venues, and more styles of music including Straight Ahead Jazz classics, early and mid -20th century jazz styles, from Dixieland, Gypsy Jazz, Blues, Ragtime to Big Band Swing.

Each summer, Burien Arts presents two FREE Shakespeare performances outdoors in Dottie Harper Park, located next to the Burien Community Center.
Burien Arts’ Sing & Sketch is a monthly program that is intended to provide a FREE, ongoing, drop-in opportunity for visual artists, musicians, and artists of the written word -- to interact and enjoy making art and music together in an informal setting. Currently it is not taking place as Burien Arts is still searching for a "home". We have strong leads, so stay tuned!
