Note about the New Start Community Garden:

Located in the old baseball field of the Salmon Creek Elementary School, the 1.6 acre Garden is now filled with greenhouses, pea patches, fruit trees, a plethora of flowers, a native plant garden, and more.  The garden produces approximately 4000 pounds of food annually, focused on veggies and herbs used in the international recipes of our diverse community. The garden produce is harvested by volunteers and donated to White Center Food Bank.

Solar power runs the irrigation system and provides electricity for music for events and cooking classes.  Art work on the garden fences is by local artists, and sculptures and an Orca Mural were created by students at the New Start High School.  Pea patches are available for $30 per year.
