Gallery Wall Artist Entry Form
Wall Specifications
- Both the Highline Heritage Museum & Burien Community Center Walls use a wire picture hanging system
- The Walls are approximately 13 ft. long
- No damage is allowed to the Walls and no holes can be made. Tape or labels must be low-tack and easily removable. We recommend you do an adhesion test beforehand on a standard wall with any labels or tape you plan to use.
- Our curator will be there to help you during your scheduled installation/takedown.
Image File Specifications
- File types for images – all common graphic file formats OK as well as PDF.
- Largest dimension is 1200 – 1800 pixels
- MAXIMUM FILE SIZE FOR EACH IMAGE IS 2MB. You will need to resize larger images before uploading. You can resize and compress images online at Small SEO Tools, a free online tool. (There are other available tools online as well; do a Google search if desired.)

Burien Arts Association Welcomes Local Artists
The Burien Arts Association (BAA) is pleased to offer three- month shows to four local artists at the Highline Heritage Museum and Burien Community Center in downtown Burien each year. BAA seeks artists creating original two-dimensional artworks suitable for hanging on a wire picture hanging system.
Please submit your entry application using the form below. Please read all the information carefully!
Important Info/ Conditions:
- Exhibits at both venues will run quarterly for three months and include an opening reception.
- There is no insurance for objects installed for exhibition. Artists are responsible for their own insurance; however, every precaution is taken to ensure the safety of the artwork.
- Artists are expected to handle all sales of their artwork.
- Museum artists are asked to donate 50% of their artwork sales to the Burien Arts Association, a 501C3 non-profit. Community Center artists are asked to donate 20%.
- Artworks MUST be fitted with wire for hanging to accommodate the wire picture hanging systems.
- Artists need to print their own artwork labels with payment instructions.
- No holes are allowed in the Gallery Walls; only low-tack labels or cards with blue painter’s tape are OK.
- Artists accepted for shows automatically allow Burien Arts to use images for publicity purposes only.
- The curators will consider artists for both the Gallery Walls at the Burien Community Center and the Highline Museum.
